Ribble Valley & Lancashire Wedding and Newborn Photographer.
When Sarah and Andy asked me just before Christmas if I would be their wedding photographer, I was thrilled! We had met at Starbucks in Blackburn for a wedding consultation and they booked straight away. As part of their wedding package, they got an engagement session included. They decided to wait until winter was over for the better weather. I am so glad they did!
We met last week at Brockholes Nature Reserve in Preston. It was a beautiful evening. The sun had been out all day, so it was lovely and warm. Brockholes was really quiet due to the time of day; perfect. I set all my gear up and we were ready to rock. We first made down to the village for some shots by the water. Everything was so still, so peaceful.
From there, we took a stroll around the back. I knew of a little wooded area that would be perfect for some romantic shots. I knew of this place due to my children. They love to go and make dens in there. As we walked, we discussed how they were getting on with their wedding plans. It's all coming together nicely now. Eeeek! Anyway, we got to the wooded area. I was right (if you ask my husband, he will tell you I always think I am right.....I am!), it was a fantastic backdrop. We then walked down to the River Ribble. It was so picturesque.
I was now on the hunt for a bushy bush. If you follow my work, or have worked with me, you'll know how much I love to hide in the greenery. People look at me like I am a little mad. Maybe I am....
On our way, a large hare ran out in front of us. It was huge! It was so lovely to see it in it's natural environment.
Anyway, I had now found a bush that I was happy with. Sarah and Andy were so good to work with They never questioned me at all when I asked them to make their way into the middle of it. I personally think it was worth it. What do you think?
Here is what Andy and Sarah had to say about their engagement shoot with me;
I am really looking forward to being a part of this gorgeous couple's special day next year. They are getting married at Best Western, Higher Trapp. Their day already sounds amazing and they still have some final plans to make.
Below are a selection of my favourite images from this shoot, enjoy.
