Ribble Valley & Lancashire Wedding & Family Photographer.
A couple of years ago, Georgina sent me a message to say she was getting married in May 2019. She explained that neither her or her fiance, Michael liked having their photo taken and were both very camera shy. She said she didn’t actually want a wedding photographer, but her friends had talked her into it, even if it was just for an hour or two to capture her with her new husband. After discussing it further, she opted for my reduced package (half a day).
Georgina went on to tell me that they had booked The Inn at Whitewell which is nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley, Lancashire for their wedding reception and they were having their ceremony in the church just next door. Being based just outside of Clitheroe, I do love it when I get a Ribble Valley wedding as it is just on my door step!
Georgina, her bridesmaids, flower girl and her parents had spent the night before the wedding in The Piggeries which is a holiday cottage that belongs to The Inn at Whitewell. What a perfect place for bridal preparation! It’s big, light, airy, and has amazing views! All the ladies were on top form. Their hair and makeup was being done and Georgina’s Dad just sat back and watched with a proud look upon his face. It was a glorious day and the finishing touches to Georgina’s hair were done outside - perfect!
So now, Georgina and Michael had become husband and wife. Amazing! During bridal preparation, I had clocked a beautiful meadow right by The Piggeries. I knew that was the perfect place for couples portraits, so that’s where we headed. Oh my! It was amazing and didn’t let me down at all. Whilst there, the newlyweds had asked for a few formal group shots with family and friends. So I took those against the cottage as it had the most beautiful wisteria growing all over it.
Once we were done, we headed off back to The Inn at Whitewell for drinks before the speeches and wedding breakfast. There were four speeches; the father of the bride, the groom and the two best men. Georgina’s brother, Dom was one of the best men. He was amazing! I have never seen a room full of people laugh so much! What a guy.
Oh, one last thing before I sign off. Georgina’s leather jacket! She had been worried in the weeks leading up to the wedding. It was her favourite and she couldn’t find it anywhere. It turns out that Michael had sneaked it away to get it personalised with ‘Mr and Mrs Green’ on the back of it and the date of their wedding. How romantic?
